Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) requires users to verify their identity using two or more factors before gaining access.


Overview

1Kosmos supports a range of second-factor methods, giving administrators the flexibility to enforce the right level of security for their users and applications.

Available Authentication Methods

Method
How it works

OTP via Email

A one-time passcode is sent to the user registered email address

OTP via SMS

A one-time passcode is sent to the user registered mobile number

OTP via Voice Call

A one-time passcode is delivered via a voice call

Hardware Token OTP

User generates a passcode from a linked hardware token

Push Notification

A push notification is sent to the 1Kosmos mobile app for approval

QR Code

User scans a QR code using the 1Kosmos mobile app

All methods can be used standalone or in combination with a password as a second factor.
