# System Requirements

Install the broker on a **server-class Linux system** that meets these minimum requirements:

* **Operating system:** Server-class Linux
* **Memory:** 4 GB RAM minimum
* **Disk space:** Enough free space for installation files and logs
* **Network:** Continuous outbound internet access to the 1Kosmos tenant
* **Directory access:** An Active Directory service account when connecting to AD
