# Directory Integrations

### Overview

Directory integrations let you connect 1Kosmos to your existing identity directories, so user identities and attributes flow into your authentication processes without duplicating data. Choose the connection method that matches your environment — Active Directory or LDAP, through the broker or directly — then refine the attributes you send downstream.
